Welcome to Woods County

 Dear Classmates,

This is the website for the Alva High School Class of 1956. The site was developed and much of the earlier photography was provided by Fred Wenninger who passed away on December 22, 2005.

I have been asked to maintain the site Fred created - to help preserve the memories of our reunions, and carry it forward.

If you have additional photos, addresses, emails or news that should be added to the site, please send it to me.

I hope you enjoy!

Announcement recieved that, indeed, we will have a 55th class reunion.  Has it been that long?  The reunion will be held in conjunction with the NWOSU annual homecoming weekend, September 30 and October 1.  Dinncers Friday and Saturday, parade, football, and friends.  Sounds like fun.  Contact Winona or Betty Jo if you can make it.

45 members, 20 guests, and five teachers attended our 50th class reunion.  No doubt about it.  This one was the best ever.  The Runnymede in Alva was the perfect location. Thanks to the class officers, Cecil, Pat, Jane and DeAnna, plus Arthel, Marybeth, Dennis, Betty Jo, Winona, and others engaged in the planning and heavy lifting who made this reunion great. The reunion handbook, created by Arthel, is the perfect keepsake to be treasured.  It was a weekend to remember!  View the many pictures submitted by attendees.
